Another Father's Day Gift

I forgot about this until I saw a picture of it on my phone.  My kids and I made these for their dad and their grandpa this year for Father's Day.

We bought a case of IBC Rootbeer and poured out all the rootbeer and washed and dried the bottles.  I then spray painted the bottle holder black.

Then we filled each of the bottles with a favorite treat.  Ours had Skittles, Red and Black Licorice, Jelly Belly's, Peanut M&M's, Swedish Fish, and Cherry Sours.

The Happy Father's Day was purchased at the Silhouette Online store and cut out with my Cameo.  I then ran it through my Xyron Creatopia (quick way to get it sticky) and placed it on the box!
I saw this cute idea online but neglected to bookmark or Pinterest it to refer back to, as I wasn't sure if I was going to do it at the time or not.

Stickles Storage

I have been told that it is best to store your Stickles upside down, and I didn't like how mine were currently being stored so as I surfed the internet I found some great ideas and decided to try something of my own.  I already store my Cricut Cartridges in a similar way so I didn't think it would be too difficult to improvise.

I went to my local craft store and bought a Sterilite flop-top Clear CD Holder.  It measures 7 5/8 x 6 1/2 x 4 1/2.  I also bought 1 sheet of plastic mesh.  Mine measured 10.5 x 13.5 inches.  I cut four pieces of mesh at 40 x 14 and cut every 6 squares up 5 squares.  I then cut five pieces of mesh at 35 x 14 and cut every 6 squares up 9 squares.  If you are careful you can get all of these pieces out of one sheet of the plastic mesh.

Here is how I was able to cut all the pieces above using one piece of plastic mesh:

Father's Day Cards

These cards were created on my Silhouette Cameo and are from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons graphics store.

The level was for my dad.  I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder diamond for the background.  I don't know about you but the sentiments are always the hardest for me.  That is why I was glad the stud finder came with the sentiment.  My husband got a kick out of it.  He opened the card and started beeping "Beep, Beep, Beep...oh, it's me...I'm a Stud!"  I used a Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face stamp for the stud finder window!  My black gel pen has walked away from my crafting station (I am blaming my children...whether they are guilty or not! :) Sounds fair right?!?) and I had to use a different  brand of gel pen...not a big fan.  Sounds like I need to make a trip to the closest craft store <insert evil laugh here>!

Mother's Day

This post is WAY belated...sorry.  I haven't had much time to post with dance recitals, Girl's Camp, yard work, my niece getting married, bridal shower's, my birthday as well as my sons, Mother's and Father's day and a son who at one time was participating in competitive basketball and football and rec. league baseball (they all overlapped this year).  Summer is Crazy!!!

Anywho!  This is the Mother's Day card and treat that I created to go along with the present that my family gave my mother.

The cute little cow is from Treasure Box Designs.  It is one of the Tiny Treasures collection, I want them ALL!  The card front is on a black card base, but it is hard to see with the black background.

Here is a Goodie Bag Topper that I used my Silhouette to make a print and cut of the same little cow, quick and easy!

Sports Brownie Pops

I don't know why but I can never get my creations to look as good as they do on someone else's blog, but I keep trying :-).  My son had a sports themed birthday party and I wanted to make some brownie pops ( I made some for my daughters party and they were a HIT).  Mine didn't turn out as well as the ones on Pinterest, but they tasted yummy!

If I had to do it again I would probably on do the footballs.  The actual making of the balls was not bad, but as you can see the decorating of them hit a rough spot.  The footballs were definitely the easiest to decorate.

Great Finds

I went to my local Hobby Lobby and found some great clearance products I thought I would share.  If you have a Hobby Lobby near you it might be worth your time to check out their clearance section!!!

Sorry, I know it is not the best quality photo.  I got the Cricut Imagine cartridges for as low as $2.58 and $3.88 and the Paper Lace cartridge for $ 6.47.  Yay me!!!  I was sooooo excited.
